So basically Wikitravel's community and content are migrating to Wikimedia's new site, and Wikivoyage is only a temporary stepping stone until the servers etc are ready. Wikitravel.org the site will keep running for some time, but with no contributors the content will either rot and fill up with spam, or get locked down and age into uselessness.

Shortcut: WV:WT. Wikitravel was the forerunner of Wikivoyage. After advertising was added to Wikitravel, the articles were copied to Wikivoyage and many editors have added new content and updates to Wikivoyage only. Wikivoyage is non-commercial and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, along with Wikipedia and various other sites.
